How your club works
A club is you and your mates keeping score together. Everyone chips in the same amount each week, one of you bets it with your own bookie, and Punt Guru tallies the lot.
No real money moves through Punt Guru. The score is the whole point.
Rollover night
Once a week, everyone's sub goes in, one round closes and the next opens. Most clubs pick a Wednesday night.
This week's bettor gets the pool as their purse. Everyone else watches the ladder.
Your shout Right now
When it's you, the purse is yours to play with. Bet with your own bookie like always, then tell Punt Guru.
Snap the slip. DM the bot a screenshot from your bookie app. It reads the stake, the odds and every leg, even a five-leg multi, and hands you an Open to confirm button. In your DM, not the group.
Or type it. Round tab, Put a bet on, stake and odds, then describe your leg, or legs, in plain words. It finds the real fixtures, shows you the card, and you tap Place Bet.
It lands in the chat
The bet shows up in the group as a card with a line from the bot. Nobody has to ask what you're on.
Before the game you get a preview written like a tipster who has done the form.
It settles itself
Racing, NRL, AFL, NBA, NBL, NFL and cricket settle themselves from the results.
A win gets the hype it deserves. A loss gets one line and no more; the bet cops it, not you.
The odd tote payout waits for a human to type the return, and if a round starts settling with your slip still open, you get a DM.
Keep the seat, or hand it on
Turn the purse into 110% of it or better and the seat is yours again next week.
Fall short and it moves to the next mate. Either way the ladder remembers.
Three rounds in
After three rounds the bot reads how your club actually bets and gives it a name.
On the 1st of the month your Book arrives: your month in bets, the one you would never work out by hand.
Weekend Warriors. Saturday Racers. Multi Merchants. The name changes as the club does, and it is read from the bets, never picked.
Before rollover
- Open a DM with the bot once so your reminders land. Turn on my reminders
- Open Punt Guru and find your name on the round.
- Read the house rules on the Club tab: subs, rollover night, banter, and the bet-again rule.
